Purpose

ENERGY.... We have the ability to break down organic compounds from the foods we consume. As a result, energy is transferred from the bonds of those compounds to manufacture high-energy compounds (e.g., ATP) that can be used for a wide variety of reactions in a cell. In this post, you will demonstrate an understanding of how energy is released from organic compounds.

Task

This week's discussion involves two parts. Be sure to completely respond to the prompts in your post.

Part 1: Discuss the various ways in which diet and physical fitness influence and connect with the processes of cellular respiration.

Part 2: What healthy (or unhealthy) habits do you practice that could affect your body's cellular respiration-related processes? 

Example for Part 2: You may be passionate about running, lifting weights, or eating specific foods; How would that influence cellular respiration? On the flip-side, you may be willing to share an unhealthy habit you're trying to break. Why? How would changing that affect your health as it relates to your metabolism (cell respiration)? By not changing an unhealthy habit, how does it affect you?

What do you understand by The Continuation Page of a Report? What are the major differences, if any, between the continuation page and follow-up report?  Summarize the importance of headings and subheadings in criminal justice reports

Brief the following case that deals with the 14^th Amendment Due Process Clause:   Brown v. Mississippi (1936)

International Disaster Management             

Now let's explore how other nations manage disasters by writing a full paragraph on FIVE OF THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS. Question number 1 is compulsory.  Make sure you comment on 2 other student's post to get full credit. Your feedback must be addressed to particular student(s).

Research and write a two page or more essay describing Hurricane Katrina...its impact on New Orleans, the region and emergency management. What did the Post-Katrina Emergency Management Reform Act do? How did Hurricane Katrina affect terrorism preparedness in the United States?

What is the purpose of the 9/11 commission? What did the commission find? What did the two 9/11 - related after-action reports say about the capabilities of first responders? How much money did the federal government spend in the response to and recovery from 9/11 attacks? What has been the most significant result of the 9/11 attacks for the state and local emergency managers?
